Facial Hair Guide

You must be clean-shaven anytime you wear a respirator, including when getting fit tested. Mustaches and goatees are OK if the hair doesn't interfere with the seal of the respirator's facepiece. If you're unsure, call us for guidance 0488 688 454.

​​​If you're a bearded healthcare worker or clinical placement student in Victoria, you may opt to book the 'Beard' mask fit test. We will use the Singh Thattha beard wrap technique (recently approved by the Victorian Department of Health).
