FIT TEST COURSE

Taught by a registered nurse &

RESP-FIT accredited fit tester

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Learn how to conduct qualitative (hood/spray) mask fit testing.

You'll learn:

  • How to set up and run a comprehensive respiratory protection program in line with AS/NZS 1715:2009 and the Victorian Department of Health.

  • How to conduct qualitative mask fit testing according to the AS/NZS 1715:2009 protocol.

  • How to use, care for, and maintain fit testing equipment and supplies.

There will be plenty of hands-on training and practice using the fit test kits.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Courses can be held at your workplace or at our Oakleigh South office.

  • If you opt to hold the course at your workplace, there is a 2-person minimum. If you only have one person attending, they can come to our office to complete the course.

  • Courses are conducted over one half-day (up to 5 hours).

 

  • We will train you to conduct qualitative fit testing using fit testing hoods and tasting agents.

  • We provide all fit testing kits, masks, and materials.

  • The maximum number of participants per course is 6.

$34per person (includes GST)

What's included in the cost:

  • Half-day course with plenty of hands-on practical training. 

  •  The course is taught by a registered nurse/RESP-FIT accredited fit tester.

  • We provide fit testing kits and masks for students to practice with.*

  • Learning materials are provided on a USB flash drive (one for each participant). Includes slides, templates, cheat sheets, troubleshooting guide, and more.

  • Certificate of completion for each participant.

  • One month of additional support - via email, phone, or Zoom - after the course is completed. 

*Please note, you do not keep the fit testing kits after the course is over. We can advise on where to purchase kits.
