FIT TEST COURSE

Taught by a registered nurse & RESP-FIT accredited fit tester

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Learn how to conduct quantitative (machine) mask fit testing using the PortaCount 8048 fit test machine.

You'll learn:

  • How to set up and run a comprehensive respiratory protection program in line with AS/NZS 1715:2009 and the Victorian Department of Health.

  • General overview of respiratory protective equipment including selection, use, and maintenance. 

  • How to conduct mask fit testing according to the AS/NZS 1715:2009 and the OSHA fast fit test protocols.

  • How to use, care for, and maintain your fit test machine.

There will be plenty of hands-on training and practice using the PortaCount fit test machines and FitPro software.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Courses can be held at your workplace or at our Oakleigh South office.

  • If you opt to hold the course at your workplace, there is a 2-person minimum. If you only have one person to attend, they can come to our office to complete the course.

  • Courses are conducted over one day (around 6 hours).

 

  • We provide PortaCount 8048 fit test machines for training. 

  • Capped at six people per course so there's plenty of time for individualized learning and practice.

$775 per person (includes GST)

What's included in the cost:

  • Full-day course with plenty of hands-on training

 

  • Course is taught by a registered nurse/RESP-FIT accredited fit tester.

  • Learning materials are provided on a USB flash drive (one for each participant). Includes slides, templates, cheat sheets, troubleshooting guides, protocols, and more.

  • Certificate of completion for each participant.

  • Lunch and morning tea provided (for courses conducted at our office).

  • One month of additional support - via email, phone, or Zoom - after the course is completed.
